Ellie Martin, LCSW
Growing up in the mountains of Colorado, Ellie developed a passion for exploring our world. While studying Environmental Science with an emphasis in Biology at Colorado College, she gained a greater understanding of the science that explains our ecological systems. Her continued curiosity prompted Ellie to seek out opportunities to work with others in wilderness-based programs, including Deer Hill Expeditions, SUWS Wilderness Therapy, the National Outdoor Leadership School, The Chadwick School, and Three Rivers Montana. Through observing the power of place-based learning and the capacity for healing that can occur while immersed in the natural world, Ellie sought greater understanding of why people do what they do, as well as how people change. After receiving a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Montana, Ellie has worked in community mental health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving children and families. Now, Ellie is a skilled mental health clinician, a systems-oriented change-maker, and an invested collaborator with individuals, organizations, and communities in the pursuit of wellbeing. Her trauma-informed approach is rooted in the importance of how relationships are critical for our healing.
